Franco Piccinno

Italian pianist of great sensitivity appreciated for his ecstatic and rarefied approach to music, Franco Piccinno is very active on the international music scene.
He collaborated with the likes of Famoudou Don Moyè (Art Ensemble of Chicago), Gilad Atzmon, Stéphane Mercier,
Adam Rudolph, Raynald Colom, Jojo Mayer, Torsten De Winkel, Francesco Bearzatti, Fabrizio Bosso, Giovanni Falzone,
Tullio De Discopo, Marc Ayza, Kike Perdomo, Audun Waage, Giulia Valle, just to name a few.
In 1996 he was a finalist with his trio at the European Jazz Competition in Krakow. He made his recording debut in 1998 with the Portuguese band Politonìa for the release of the album "Lisboa", which also includes original some of his own compositions. In 2000 he won in Italy the Baronissi National Jazz Competition as the best pianist.
Over the last 25 years, he has been living between Milan, London, Paris, Barcelona and Rome, establishing himself for his natural fluency and brilliant technique as an improviser, constantly performing concerts in Europe and occasionally in the United States, Japan and South America.
As leader, Franco Piccinno has released many solo piano records, two trio records, and various records in collaboration with other artists.
At the same time, he is also active in the production of electronic music as evidenced by five records as a soloist and the releases with the groups Fraudstars and Decò.
